After previously selling two other properties in the Glen Waverley area through local Agencies and not achieving the prices or services we expected or promised, we were in the process of looking for an alternative Agent when a close friend referred us to Victorian Real Estate.
We were told that Colin Rounds, the principal, has a reputation for offering good service and attaining great pricing for vendors. After interviewing Colin, who asked us many questions to find out exactly what we wanted to achieve out of the sale, we engaged him to sell our property.
He suggested an Auction but had a goal to sell before Auction date to achieve the best price, we both thought this was different approach to the usual Agencies. As he was also independent we felt he could access buyers over a wider area whereas other Agencies are more restricted. He did have previous local experience having worked within the area with another large Agency. We were very impressed with the amount of people that attended each “Open House” which he and his other agents held.
After achieving six great offers prior to Auction, we accepted an offer which was well in excess of our expectation by $150,000 from a buyer who will live in the house. My wife and I would have no hesitation in using Victorian Real Estate in the future and have referred friends to him as well who are considering selling. We are very happy vendors, so much so that after considering retirement l recently joined Colin at Victorian Real Estate as a Sales Consultant.
